Human chorionic gonadotropin, HCG is a glycoprotein hormone secreted by the syncytiotrophoblast cells of the placenta. Blood HCG examination refers to the detection of HCG levels in the serum, providing clinical basis for the diagnosis of early pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, incomplete miscarriage, spermatogonial testicular cancer and other HCG related diseases, differential diagnosis, and prognosis judgment.
