TheInfluenzaA+B/COVID-19/RSV Antigen RapidTest Device is a rapid visualimmunoassay for the qualitative, presumptive detection of influenza A and B viralantigens, COVID-19 Antigen and RSV antigen formthroat swabs andnasopharyngealswab specimens. The test is intended for use as an aidin the rapid differential diagnosisof acute influenza type A and type B virus, COVID-19 and RSV infection.
Principle
TheInfluenza A+B/COVID-19/RSV Antigen RapidTest Device detects influenza A andB viral antigens, COVID-19 andRSV Antigen through visual interpretation of colordevelopmentonthe strip. Anti-influenza A and B antibodies,Anti-COVID-19 and Anti-RSVantibodies are immobilized on thetest regions of the membrane respectively.During testing, theextractedspecimen reacts withanti- influenza A,B, COVID-19 andRSV antibodies conjugated to colored particles and precoated onto thesamplepadofthe test. The mixture thenmigrates through the membrane bycapillary action andinteracts with reagents on the membrane.If thereis sufficient influenza A and B viralantigens or COVID-19antigenor RSV antigeninthespecimen, colored band(s) willform at theaccordingtest region of the membrane. The presence ofacolored bandin regions indicates a positive result for the particular viral antigens, while its absenceindicates a negative result.The appearance of a colored band at the control regionserves as a procedural control,indicating thattheproper volume of specimen has beenadded and membrane wicking has occurred.
